Rabbi Sugarman meets with the couple for two or more sessions, getting to know them and providing them with his warmth and experience. He works jointly with the couple to personalize and design a beautiful and meaningful ceremony, which will be remembered forever. The outcome is a ceremony that preserves the heritage of each spouse's tradition. Each ceremony is unique, individualized and non-offensive to either side of the family.

Rabbi Sugarman at the first meeting gives the couple an outline and a sample ceremony to use as a guideline to create a ceremony. He also recommends that the couple read the book, "Celebrating Interfaith Marriages-Creating Your Jewish/Christian Ceremony," by Rabbi Devon A. Lerner. Her excellent and informative wedding book has numerous sample ceremonies and pertinent information for the interfaith couple.
